Food For Thought Friday

Reflection - Too many live life in emotions. They make choices with emotions. They act out in emotions.  Life is not what happens to you its how you react.  If you are having outbursts of emotion, frustration and anger maybe its time you looked with in and resolve to understand that the energy you put in the atmosphere will come back to you.  I am always going within to see that God alone has everything under control. I evaluate me everyday. I make changes everyday. I will continue to until. Life is the result of the choices and actions  made or, the lack of those choices and actions.  It is no ones fault or responsiblity. accept that responsibility. Own it, realize it and improve. Know better, do better  and knowing better, the doing better should be evident and visual.  Be thankful, be grateful, be humble and loose ego, pride and self centeredness.  No one is impressed, not even God. Especially God. Uh oh, lunch time is over. Be Blessed...

How Are You Praying

How Are You Praying? Matthew chapter 6 is not your usual chapter.   This is where Jesus spoke the parable on prayer and how to pray.   I don’t know about you, but I listen closely too many in leadership, those who stand before the masses and offer up praise and thanksgiving to our Lord and Savior or so I thought it to be praise and thanksgiving.   In my study of Gods word, I notice much about myself and how I approach God. I also notice more closely how others approach God.   I am a   major thinker. My head should have exploded years ago due to my ability to think and process, process and think.   I have even been called mega brain. I evaluate but not judge others. Why? Because a parent such as our Father God deserves respect.   He may not be our physical parent but He is our spiritual Parent.   He is Lord of Lords. He is King of Kings. He is the great I Am, need I say more?   We Christians have fallen off the grid with the new wave Christianity. We have become lazy and inconside

The Battle Is Not Mine Its The Lord

This past year has been hard, I could pull my hair out and snatch some people up. Just being honest. . My emotions go up and they go way down. I may not be at my best most days but I enjoy the good days I am blessed with. But God. But God. I know all things happen for a reason and I also know God is in control no matter what. I may be down but I am not out of the game . Satan will have to work har ... der if he is trying sideline me. It will not happen in the name of Jesus. I rebuke you satan in the name of all mighty JESUS.. I plead the blood of Jesus over every attack seen and unseen. I pray the blood of Jesus over my sons Sean Pratt and Marcus Pratt . Saten is trying to destroy families, get behind us saten you are NOT welcome here. I plead the blood of Jesus over all my family members from the youngest to the oldest and friends. And I pray restoration for all of my enemies seen an unseen. This to will pass and I HAVE the victory. Victory IS MINE. Its spiritual warfare people

A Visitor

It was 5:15 am dark and wet. I had a visitor this morning. Very nice, comforting and warm. Letting me know that everything will be just fine and that I don't have to try and carry the load because its already taken care of. Touched my heart speaking to me, it was like music to my ears. It took everything within me to not drive faster than the required 60 miles an hour, I could not contain my emotion. With tears streaming down my face my heart was full of humility that he would grant me his presence. All I could do was hold on to the steering whell and ride, there was nothing I could. I was not afraid. ... I had a visitor this morning and his name was, Jesus. When you can admit to God that you are lost without him, that you are a broken vessle, he sees. When you can say Lord take the wheel, he is ready and able. When you can say no matter what Lord, I will always lift your name on high and share your words with others, he rejoices. I am lost with Him, are you? Can you admi

Reflection

Turning your life over to Christ means change. It means you strive daily to live your life Christ like. It means your old man is dead and you become a new creation. Sins forgiven. I find it daunting when I hear many say I am still a baby christian after many years of Sunday services, Bible studies, and prayer meetings. Still clubbing, drinking, having sex outside of marriage and the ... list goes on. It means we have made a choice to turn away from a life that appears to have brought us to Christ in the first place but yet, many have not fully committed by choice. Crying the same cry Sunday after Sunday. Going to the alter for the same pains of life one chooses to participate in. Only praying when a disaster stricks. Only calling on God when things are in an upheaval. If God knocked on your door or called your number, would you be ready, would you answer the call. I am in no way saying we must be perfect, that will never happen but what I am saying is simple, either your in o

A National Day Of Prayer-Wake Up

I am blessed to be a humanitarian. Being part of a Christian organization known as World Vision is a placement provided by God. Once a year we shut down operations and gather for a day of prayer and reflection. Acknowledging all that God has blessed us to do for the poor around the world and praising Him for all that He will do. Millions do not have clean water or basic healthcare.  Close your eyes for a moment and imagine you or your children drinking muddy and diseased water because there is nothing else. Imagine your children starving to death and you can do nothing. Not a good feeling is it? This is the work World Vision has been doing since 1952 when the company was founded by the late Bob Pierce. We are the voice for the voiceless. We are digging wells, providing much needed healthcare and much much more. We as Americans living in America are spoiled to the core with all of the benefits we have at our disposal. Today millions are in an uproar over the government sh
