Happy Mothers Day 2014

Happy Mothers Day to all of the mothers and Fathers who are doing the job of a Mother. This is also for all of the Foster Parents, God has you doing for the least of them that are in need. Thank you from this foster child who had a wonderful Foster Mother, Mrs. Sylvia R. Jones, rejoice in peace Fatty. Her nickname was Fatty.

This day is for you. To smile and rejoice. To celebrate all that you are in your childrens lives. To those who's children are still home. Your job is still being done. Keep doing it. Keep raising. Keep setting the example. They are watching every move you make and don't make. They will do more of what you show them more than what you say to them, keep speaking life and encouragement into your children.

To all of the Mothers whos children are raised and grown and on thier own. You made it. But its not over. Your head work and sacrafice piad off and you have done good. Be prepred to intrsuct them in their adulthood. Listen to them with your heart and your ears. Be slow to speak but quick to listen. Take the ques from them. They will let you know what they need. Be ready.

The following chapter is referencing a good wife but t know this also applies to good mothers because we do have these same characteristics and responsibilities as a Mother and Single Fathers raising their children. Be reminded always of your value and worth.

Proverbs 31
The Sayings of King Lemuel
31 The sayings of King Lemuel contain this message,[a]which his mother taught him.
O my son, O son of my womb,
    O son of my vows,
do not waste your strength on women,
    on those who ruin kings.
It is not for kings, O Lemuel, to guzzle wine.
    Rulers should not crave alcohol.
For if they drink, they may forget the law
    and not give justice to the oppressed.
Alcohol is for the dying,
    and wine for those in bitter distress.
Let them drink to forget their poverty
    and remember their troubles no more.
Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves;
    ensure justice for those being crushed.
Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless,
    and see that they get justice.

A Wife of Noble Character

10 [b]Who can find a virtuous and capable wife?
    She is more precious than rubies.
11 Her husband can trust her,
    and she will greatly enrich his life.
12 She brings him good, not harm,
    all the days of her life.
13 She finds wool and flax
    and busily spins it.
14 She is like a merchant’s ship,
    bringing her food from afar.
15 She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household
    and plan the day’s work for her servant girls.
16 She goes to inspect a field and buys it;
    with her earnings she plants a vineyard.
17 She is energetic and strong,
    a hard worker.
18 She makes sure her dealings are profitable;
    her lamp burns late into the night.
19 Her hands are busy spinning thread,
    her fingers twisting fiber.
20 She extends a helping hand to the poor
    and opens her arms to the needy.
21 She has no fear of winter for her household,
    for everyone has warm[c] clothes.
22 She makes her own bedspreads.
    She dresses in fine linen and purple gowns.
23 Her husband is well known at the city gates,
    where he sits with the other civic leaders.
24 She makes belted linen garments
    and sashes to sell to the merchants.
25 She is clothed with strength and dignity,
    and she laughs without fear of the future.
26 When she speaks, her words are wise,
    and she gives instructions with kindness.
27 She carefully watches everything in her household
    and suffers nothing from laziness.
28 Her children stand and bless her.
    Her husband praises her:
29 “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world,
    but you surpass them all!”
30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last;
    but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.
31 Reward her for all she has done.
    Let her deeds publicly declare her praise.

Happy Mothers Day and Lord Bless You always.,

Spectators Never Win

1 Corinthians 9:24-26 in the NLT Paul tells us, “Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing”. I am reminded with every breath, the race I am running. I know that God has given me the vision and because He alone is omnipotent, having unlimited power, I have won, I just have to run. I may stumble and fall, I may get scratched up and bruised, but run I must.   An athlete does not go into a race with doubt and fear. They are not concerned with who is cheering them on. A runner cannot focus on the runner next to them thought they are aware that they are there. A runner is focused on the run, the finish line, and the score board that tells them if they have beaten a previous record for the win.   Being a runner on the track is the same as

Win The Race With Endurance

Today has been a good day. How many of you get up in the mornings and say this? Do you get up with anticipation and drive to do all that you can in peace, or do you get up dreading the day before it even starts? You have a choice to either be grateful or in torment.  After a great call with a friend I haven't seen or talked to in over 30 years until a few weeks ago spoke so much life and confirmation in to me today.  I was reminded about endurance and running the race that God has placed me in. This race is nothing about what I want, it's about what His will is for me and nothing more. You see, we have to surrender our will for His will because as you know, God's will is the platform in which we have been placed at the starting line to run and not faint or grow weary. We been called and hand picked for a time such as now. Its urgent and immediate. Are you running to it or from it?  The past few months have been challenging on many levels and with these challen

Thought Of The Day

My thought for today: If you want quality you must be quality. Many of us expect so much but only give so little. We seek love but we put conditions on it. We want more money but refuse to put in the hours required and complain when millions do not have employment. We admire things but fail to see there is a cause and effect to having things. Never expect from another what you are not willing to give and if you try to beat the system of life, karma is real and you will no doubt pay for it somewhere in your life's walk. Nothing that happens in your life is by chance, its allowed by God. Change your thinking, change your mind. Feed your thoughts with positiveness. Your eye-gate is the door to growth or destruction meaning, what you choose to see can either bring you growth or cause destruction not only for you but for those around you. One of my favorite quotes from back in college is this, “Determination rules out doubt theory can not solve” penned by an unknown. I wake up det
