Singled Out

The greatest joy we can have going into this new season is understanding our position as God’s children and knowing where we should place all of our hopes and dreams.  We are not in any way responsible for another’s actions or the lack of, however we are in fact responsible for our own actions, we are responsible for showing the love of Christ and knowing that in many cases our actions will be judged. Our wisdom shared will not be met with praise by another who only sees from their limited understanding.  Don’t let this become your trophy. Don’t let others dictate to you how you will respond to the wonderful gifts that God has for you.

The only guarantee that we have as human beings is death. None of us will escape it. Some will meet death prematurely and some by natural means.  This is the end. The end of placing others on a pedestal. The end of expecting an action from someone who clearly has no desire or capacity to fulfil. The end of reaching out and not seeing a hand reached back. Now, when I say this I do not mean it in the sense of doing for another. I mean this in the sense of reaching out to people who make the excuses of, I am so busy, etc. You must be specific in making connections and friendships with those who show a desire to have and be the same.

On this day, Sunday, January 10, 2016, I am in meditation mode. I am reviewing my goals, outlining my steps to achieve those goals, and forgiving myself for not reaching the goals I had set for myself in 2015. Holding on to something that no longer serves a purpose will keep you from pursuing your current goals with joy and peace. We all have fell short in something and we will fall again, and again.  You must get up and bounce back. Don’t give up and don’t give in because you were singled out for a purpose. Pick yourself up and square your shoulders. Put a smile on your face and let it reach your heart. Make connections with those doing what it is that you desire to do. Research, read, write, and lastly, enjoy your living because when death comes, that is the end.

My brothers and sisters, take you rightful place as heir to the throne of grace. Jeremiah 29:11 NLT says this, “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope”.

Stand up and shed the weights. The weights of inferiority, mediocrity, lack, low self-esteem, and loneliness. Get busy being the best you that you can be. Start and end every day with prayer as the Father is the author and finisher. Surrender your will to His will and walk in the authentic purpose that God has for you. Shed the weights of trying to force a connection of friendship, anything real and worthy will not take hard work to achieve. Loving the unloving is a hard thing, but you cannot stop loving them or yourself.  You have a job to do and you cannot drag anyone or anything with you that has no capacity to be fruitful.  How are you living?

Be Blessed

  1. This post really spoke to my heart. I have some serious issues with low self esteem and loneliness. But I am working at remembering that God has not given me anything that I can't handle. Thank you so much for the reminder!

Spectators Never Win

1 Corinthians 9:24-26 in the NLT Paul tells us, “Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing”. I am reminded with every breath, the race I am running. I know that God has given me the vision and because He alone is omnipotent, having unlimited power, I have won, I just have to run. I may stumble and fall, I may get scratched up and bruised, but run I must.   An athlete does not go into a race with doubt and fear. They are not concerned with who is cheering them on. A runner cannot focus on the runner next to them thought they are aware that they are there. A runner is focused on the run, the finish line, and the score board that tells them if they have beaten a previous record for the win.   Being a runner on the track is the same as

I Won't Complain

After a few work days of buses not showing up for their scheduled stops, me getting home close to 2 hours later than normal,  and no good sleep I'm reminded still, how good God is. Even the periodic snaps of depression and anxiety haven't caused me to forget how good God is. The key is encouraging myself because all storms pass. It amazes me to see so many people unaware of the true effects of mental illness. They tell you, get over it. They are the ones who have no debilitating physical or educational knowledge of the struggles. They don't understand the fight everyday to remain in a visual normal state of mind with tending to the tasks requiring your presence. They can't understand why you cry for no apparent reason. Unaware that some wish to lay down at any given time to sleep hoping to never awake again. Unaware that at any moment a fuse can blow in ones mind and all hell can be unleashed. Unaware that they may see beauty or bronze, while a depressive is seeing

Win The Race With Endurance

Today has been a good day. How many of you get up in the mornings and say this? Do you get up with anticipation and drive to do all that you can in peace, or do you get up dreading the day before it even starts? You have a choice to either be grateful or in torment.  After a great call with a friend I haven't seen or talked to in over 30 years until a few weeks ago spoke so much life and confirmation in to me today.  I was reminded about endurance and running the race that God has placed me in. This race is nothing about what I want, it's about what His will is for me and nothing more. You see, we have to surrender our will for His will because as you know, God's will is the platform in which we have been placed at the starting line to run and not faint or grow weary. We been called and hand picked for a time such as now. Its urgent and immediate. Are you running to it or from it?  The past few months have been challenging on many levels and with these challen
